The character development keeps getting thinner the science more ultra the enemies more stupid the justification less complete but it did wiz bang itself right into a well telegraphed deux ex machina ending and it was good enough to to hold my readers trance through all three books. 3 stars.Product details

In this third book of the series, already familiar and new characters engage local and distant destroyers in frightening and courageous maneuvers that keep eyes welded to each page and minds drumming with suspense. This fast-paced, spectacular, big-screen drama careens on to the very end (Is it the end?). The Prides of Sol should be required reading for those thinking our advancement of space flight unimportant.
Since this is science fiction, it doesn't matter that the storyline is far-fetched. The character creation and imagery is excellent. I've really enjoyed this and the two previous books in this series. I can't wait for the next book to be available on .

The first book was good the second better (except for wayyyyyyyyyyy to much about sailing) and the third I'm not going to finish. After many hundreds of years and a highly technological enemy approaching these idiots have a wet navy, a second Peoples Democratic Republic and only now about to send their first ship into space and it full of Marines. Common man, give us a break. On top of that one of the carry over heroines turns out to be a tramp and commits transgressions on duty that should flatly end her military career and what do they do. They give her a promotion and a then assign her to a ship along with her new lover!! Get real dude!
Very pacey and interesting, good characters and descriptions, recommend to anyone who wants to get lost in Scifi for a day
I totally enjoyed the (current)three book trilogy, The Nepenthean Solution, Flight of the Solar Archangel and Prides of Sol. The breadth and shear expanse of the novels were exceptional and provided many hours of quiet page turning entertainment. Great imagination. Thanks and I look forward to new stories from the author.
