Murmel, Murmel Murmel by Robert Munsch is a children’s book about a little girl who finds a baby in a sandbox and must look for someone who wants a baby. She asks people that she sees on the street, an old woman, a lady in fancy clothes, a man at a bus stop, but no one she asks wants the baby. Then a man drives up in a truck and says he wants the baby and the little girl can have his truck.

This is a quirky silly book that young children will enjoy. The adult might be a little concerned about what happens to the baby but children just thinks its a funny book. The book is written with simple sentences using words that a young child will understand. The illustrator, Michael, Martchenko, has done a great job. The illustrations are vibrant and colorful and a good compliment to the story. I would recommend this story to any adult who enjoys reading to their child.

Book came and it fits in your hand, you can barely read it.
The story is odd and a bit confusing for the children but that i was a risk i was willing to take.
Other than, i would say the pocket size, is extremely tiny, no hardcover just plain cardboard which makes it even more fragile for children.
My girls carry it everywhere though.
My class and I are huge Munsch fans, so at the end of the year, I purchased these for my students. They loved them! Read the large version first, but this is just perfect for a kid to carry around and read/look at when they're out and about!
Before you buy this, make sure you read the full description... I did not. This is a tiny book. It's adorable, but you may want to be smarter than I was and read the full details before you buy!
another excellent Robert Munsch book
It's not worth bothering to return, and I suppose I should have read the fine print but I really didn't expect a 3"x3" booklette. Please...
So caveat emptor and then some!
Initially there appear to be a language barrier. But it turns out it's just a baby waiting for the right parent to come along. Such a cute funny book in pure Munsch style.

Note this book is the smaller version. Be sure to check the size of the book (how silly does that sound?)
Tiny Book! Too small really. I give it five stars because the story is awesome. So awesome that it overwhelms the minuscule size of this printing.
